Easter! We went roller blading, made cakes, dyed eggs and just played around!
It was Hannah's frist Easter and she was not a fan of the camera, though she did like the eggs.

Melissa's Birthday!!!

Cake Anyone???

Rachel text me a picture of a candy land cake about a month ago, I loved it and wanted to try and make it. The first opportunity we could think of to make it was for Mel's birthday party. We talked to Kristi and she was more than happy to let us take over the cake. We asked about a theme and were told we could do whatever. I asked Melissa when she was with us last week and she seemed to be indifferent to the cake, even when we showed her a picture. The only request that she had is that she be on the cake - to which I thought: "No way!"
I ended up talking Rachel into trying two different Pinterest cakes combined, with a rainbow center made up of six circle cakes stacked up, piling high with frosting and candy. Rachel found a frosting recipe on Pinterest (our new favorite)and we got to work. In the end I loved the soft colors and the rainbow inside (that impressed the kids at the party the most!). Also, I relented and made a small Melissa to put on the cake - complete with long red pony-tail and pink boots (she is made from star bursts) which was worth it because Melissa loved it!

Californian Spring Break!

This Spring Break I came to California. Dave kindly gave me some of his Frequent Flyer Miles. I came on Saturday, March 17. Sunday till now we have been just doing exactly what I wanted to do - just do what Beth and Sarah do all day long. And since Beth has five boys, three in school all week, we pretty much hang out and plan our meals, shop for the meals all around when the boys go to school and come home, but I love it!!!
Monday I went to luch with all of the boys, Ryan and I took Little Caesars' Pizza for kindergarden lunch and sat at the picnic tables with Thomas. When he went out to play, I took Ryan home, stocked back up on pizza, and headed back for 2nd grade lunch. Sam enjoyed the attention, everyone calling him lucky for getting pizza for lunch. William was a different story, after Sam left for recess and 4th graders came. William stayed out by me, quite and happy just to get some pizza for lunch.

Today we went to the park, had a great dinner and dessert! Just a normal day with Beth and Sarah!

Daniel is always taking a sock off - but what a CUTE baby!!!

Questions: too energetic?

Bonus Horse Show

Rachel and I went with Dana to Vail Pride Day, to see all of the cool things her students (and every single student in the Vail School District) were doing. It was a really neat event, with art/school work from every student, science fair winners from all of the schools, dance/music performances, lots of food and other interesting school/community representatives and activities. However, the bonus was that at the same time on the Pima County Fair Grounds, on the other side of an RV show, there was a horse show. We walked over to it and watched the Junior jumping competition. It was so much fun and since I had my camera, even more fun! It was a great Saturday!

CALI!!!

Aunt Louise, Dad, Rachel and I drove all night to get to California. We enjoyed a Friday of playing at the park, making trains out of chocolate, eating the trains and watching two crazy California sisters in a bread making lesson (Beth teaching Sarah while making them, but Sarah taking credit of course). Saturday Sam was baptized! Funny kid, he laughed though it.
